Happy Pink Saturday With A "Green" Pink Makeover!

Happy Pink Saturday! Well I am sure you are wondering what I meant by my Title! Well I have a 6mo. old(almost 6mo.) and She eats alot of Formula. We have tons of leftover cans. I also stopped Drinking Soda a Year ago. I now Drink Crystal Light(Well Walmart version anyway)! I was wanting to redo my desk area, and well with money being tight or me just being a cheapskate and not wanting to spend money on pencil holders and other things for my Desk, I decided to look around at what I had. I didn't want to spend alot and actually I spent not a penny on this project. It was made from things I already had on hand!

The Cans before I used them!

The Fake Crystal Light! :)

I gently pulled off the labels and used them as a template

Then got scraps out and all in Pinks , Of course!

The Similac Cans!

Here is the Desk all done! Ok except don't look at all the papers and School work I have to go thru!
I painted the letters to coordinate with my pencil holders, I have had the letters for months.

Here it is all in place!

I also finally covered the desk chair too! It was already white I just freshened it with a new coat of white paint!

I really love this fabric!

  24. Jennifer, thank you for visiting us for Pink Saturday. Your cans look great! Your letters too. How fun... my babies are 17 and 13, but my husband eats mixed nuts and I have been saving those cans for a year! I have done the same thing as you and have taken pictures and plan to do a post about them soon. I even cover some with fabric, and I have decoupaged with bits of tissue paper also. Pringles cans work great too and they hold paintbrushes perfectly. Thank you for sharing!
