A Neglected Project Finished!

Now I am sure you are thinking,"OK, What do books have to do with a Project?". Well these aren't just any books! These are Folio Society edition books. They are unabridged and beautifully illustrated and beautifully bound! These were the only Christmas presents that I got. Now don't feel sorry for me this is what I wanted. They are beautiful. Well the project revolved around what they came in.

This is the cool bag it came in. The books came from London! I was so happy to see them I almost ripped into this bag. I hope this isn't some against the law thing to do , because well I cut it up and made a bag out of it!So If you don't hear from Me for awhile then you know I am in major trouble! :)
I lined it with Pink Fabric.{That I didn't even know that I had. That is what comes from cleaning all of it up.}
Here it is all done. It is big enough that I can use it for a diaper bag or an overnight bag. 
Well I like how it turned out. I think it was a great way to use something that was just going to be thrown away!

1-more project done. I totally had forgot about this bag until I pulled out all of my fabric.

Getting Organized Before My Classes Begin!

I have been trying like a Mad women to get my house in order. I start Summer College Classes very soon like less than 2 weeks. So I decided to sort and put my fabric away better. So I can get to it and do a project quicker. I have been organizing everything. The Kids are so loathing it! I am telling them to put everything away, and to pick up after themselves.

Great Weekend Finds!

Well We had a Great weekend! This is a Picture of Miss Lily all in her New Hat, to go to the Yard Sales!It was so much fun! Now I wanted to make sure that no spending went over the amount that was budgeted. I was determined to get some goodies. I was Happy with what I found!

Miss Lily all smiles! {I should have taken one of her totally crashed out about noon with the Hat still on!}
I got the white plates for like $1 and then the glass lid to a cheese plate for 25cents! I got most everything except for the baby clothes for 25-50 Cents!
The Most for one dress was $2, but they were in great shape. Plus they had smocking and were really nice.
I thought the Dress with the Goldfish was way too cute!
I got this antique frame that is a bit beat-up for 50 Cents! I have no idea what to do with it yet, but I cant help running my hands over it and feeling the wood carvings!

I got this Strawberry mold for 50 Cents. It will go perfect in my Kitchen.
I got 4 10x14 frames for 50 cents a piece
Tons of the other stuff I got. That is the metal part of a medicine cabinet that had an old mirror attached to it. I am going to re-paint the mirror.
This basket was 50 Cents. It is gorgeous. It needs a good couple of dunks in some hot Murphy oil wood soap and hot water. I am hoping that I won't need to paint it. If I do I guess I could just stain it darker! That is an idea!

The lady I bought this old potpourri warmer from thought she had to tell me what it was. I guess someone had thought it was a cute little crock pot. I like this one because they use to make them bigger. Well I like the wide mouth on it so I can use my leftover candle bits to Grubby up some stuff!

The last Place we went to had these bookends! I love the Pear I am thinking of painting them both Black! I love the Frog on the one set!

Well I had such a great weekend and there are a few other things we got that I haven't posted yet. That I will put in a new post. I only ended up spending 50 dollars and that is actually including a bit of gas and sodas! It got hot this Saturday! We have had 80 degree weather here most of the weekend and this week so far!

Happy Pink Saturday! Doll Love!

It is Pink Saturday! I am so glad that it is Pink Saturday! I have things I made this week and then Pictures of my Favorite Doll! I just put the finishing touches on my very first "Annie" Doll. I got her all done just in time to make her Pink Saturday Appearance!
I made a Tabby Snake for a bloggy friends son this week. Well Miss Lily kept trying to take it, so I made her one too!

I love that it is Spring! Garanimals has put out their Spring clothes. I got tons of shirts that have watermelons and ice cream cones and strawberries! How could I resist when every single one had a bit of Pink on them! Well I must confess I am a huge sucker for that Smile! :)

I do have Big News! Miss Lily is crawling! Yay! OK well ask me again after she has gotten into everything! LOL

A Few Finished Projects!

Well I got a few projects finished and wanted to post them. Soon I will put up pictures of my new craft table. I love it and we didn't even spend much on it to do it. Well A few Pink Saturdays ago, I posted some wool felt coasters I got at Michael's. They were only $1 and so I picked up 3 sets. I found this unfinished box at the Hobby Lobby when they had Paper Mache on sale for 50% off. So I think I paid just over A Dollar on it.
I found this cool paper at the Hobby Lobby too. Then I spray Painted the box, and Mod Podged the paper on the top. Then Hot Glued on the ribbon and the button. My Son thinks that I can fix anything with Hot Glue! LOL I never realised that is what he was getting at when he would ask me how I attached something! :)

The Kids have been begging to go to Cracker Barrel. Well that can be a bit of money. So we went for breakfast, because it is cheaper. I found this cute Tea Towel. I fell in Love with it. they had a whole section of chocolate and Cupcake stash there. Well I decided to make a pillow out of it.

I got some of the mini pom-pom fringe from the Walmart. Now I am not the best sewer at all, but I tried anyway! So now it rests on my bed! So now I will have chocolate filled dreams!

I have started a new Blog. I am hoping to start an ETSY store very soon. It is a little different than I am doing here on Livin' With Peaches. Tag Project!

Here is a Project I completed over the weekend! I was experimenting with trying to make some new tags for a Tag Swap. So I liked how they turned out and I had a frame laying around and thought: "Why Not!"

Happy 6mo. Old Miss Lily!

It has been 6 wonderful months with Miss Lily! What A wonderful little girl she has been.I can't believe How much she has changed. I just can't wait to see even more changes!

Happy Pink Saturday! This week I am keeping it simple! I bought this shirt 2 years ago. It didn't fit at all. I loved it and what it said. This was my Goal shirt that one day I would loose enough weight to fit into it! It is a junior size 15! Guess what I can fit into it! I really wanted you to see what It said! It is fun and my inspiration to loose weight!

T-Shirt Softie!

Well a few years ago Cracker Barrel had a clearance on some of their T-shirts. Well we thought they were too cute to pass up. I think we paid like $5 dollars for each. Well the kids have outgrown them, and I was getting rid of clothes that don't fit the kids anymore to see what the summer clothes situation is. Now with that crazy law in place I can't resale them. So I thought well they would make great Softies for Miss Lily! I am not sure if I am going to do the Girls one yet or not. I was thinking of sving it for her to actually wear.

It comes with a packet of pieces to apply to them!

Here is Mr. Potato Head all done and stuffed!

He is so cool, he had to wear Shades! Can we guess I totally was an 80's Girl! :)

Well I just thought this was a fun little project that I just did in a few minutes time.

New Pictures of Me and Miss Lily!

{I am not Sure why, but this post got messed up}
I can't remember what was said, so i will just kinda put something new down. this is a new picture of Miss Lily! She is almost 6 months old in this Picture. I was just talking to her and she was smiling really big at me.
This is a new pic of me. I have lost 55 lbs. over 6 months. I am very exctied about it. I also have grown my hair long. I haven't had my hair this long in over 12 years.

I can't remember what this post said, but anyway have a great day.

I Participated in a Tag Swap that Jen from Lipstick and Laundry is hosting. We are doing it for 3 months and we have to incorporate the Month into the Tag.
These are the Tags I created. I was inspired by all the Rain we had been having.
