Fun With Photoshop!

Ree from The Pioneer Woman, does amazing and fun things. She has a wonderful site full of things to explore. What I am doing the post on is specific to Ree's photography work. She has created filters, plus has tutorials that help you navigate some difficult things on Photoshop. It is so wonderful to have people that help and share their knowledge to achieve beautiful things.

This is my before Photo with the kids. Not too bad. This is right by our church building. I have always liked this spot. I actually took this picture in the exact place I had my engagement photo taken. 12 years ago the fence wasn't there and the trees were much fuller then.

{The Before shot! Not a bad picture at all.}

Here is the amazing after! I really liked the picture before, Now I love, love, love it! I have to Thank Ree for sharing her skills and knowledge to make this picture Sparkle. Take a look at her site and see what else she has to offer!

Shoes A Girls Best Friend!

I love a pretty pair of shoes! I love high heels, I love a fun pair of Chuck Taylor shoes. A few years ago I found this card at Pier 1. It was a cream colored card with a cut out of a shoe with beads all over it. I fell in love with it. I knew I wanted to frame it. If not for the sheer fact of keeping the beads on the card. Well I did frame it and loved it even more if that is possible. So for the last few years I have been trying to find "Shoe" cards or pictures to hang up. I haven't come across anything that I liked, or in the colors of my bedroom, which are Pink and Green. So when I run into not being able to find exactly what I am looking for. I then look to see if I can make what I am looking for. So I did just that and decided to make my own. I got a template and some fun scrapbook papers and glitter and glitter glue and went to work. Here is what I came up with.
Clearance Frame from JoAnn Fabrics. I just found a huge JoAnn's where I live. I totally love it!
I needed a subtle background paper. So you notice the shoe and not the background paper.

Here is the template I used. I cut it out of a cereal box! So It was kind of green using what I had on hand. I didn't buy any special paper either. I used what I had already. So the cost of this project was the cost of the frame and that was it.
The finished shoe, complete with Glittered Heel and swirls!

Here it is all finished in its Frame and on the Wall!

This is the original shoe picture that inspired the whole project!

This is a collage of pictures that are beside my nightstand. I have a fun silhouette of Jane Austen! I got the Image from Dover my fav place to get fun Clip Art. The thing I love is that it was free!!!

This is the whole thing! If you notice there are a few holes in the whole collage. Well I am making a sampler for one of the spots and the other is a beautiful free cross stitch pattern I got of a shoe from DMC's free patterns. I am going to try and find the link for it. Here is the exact Link for the cross stitch Shoe! Check out DMC's free patterns Plus they have a blog too!
Thank You for dropping by! I hope you have been inspired to create your Own shoe collection!

Easy Frame Wall Project!

I have to really start out this post with an apology. I am so sorry that I have been absent. I am sorry that I haven't gotten back to people in a timely manner. I have been sick and still trying to get my house settled. I will say I do have good news. Matt got a Great job here in Indianapolis. He loves it and the plus is that he is making more than he did with his old company. That was a very nice blessing. So now that things have settled a bit around here. I wanted to show you some of the projects I have done. I am hoping here in a month to give a tour of the rooms I have finished in the house.

This frame project is over my TV. I didn't include the TV in it or the buffet it is sitting on. I am saving that for when I finish transforming the buffet. These frames I purchased at Walmart for just $3 a piece. I had the wooden wood "Family" already. So this only cost me $9 total! That is always good for my pocket.

Close-up of the frame. I took and Sepia toned a few of the kids pictures from different ages.
Here it is all done. The funny thing is that it really isn't crooked as it appears in the picture. This house is old and has plaster walls and the wall seems to be curved or something on that end. It is kinda funny. Well I thought it was something very simple to do and share.

Miss Lily on the 13th of this month turned 19 months old! Where does the time go? Well I haven't been feeling very well. I have been bed ridden alot lately. I really don't say much about my health. There really is nothing that can be done. Plus there is always someone else who is worse than I am. Well my point behind my ramblings is that Miss Lily has been having fun sitting in bed with me! Mommy's company! I have been doing alot of reading and other things to pass the time. Well Miss Lily thought she would do the same. She kept taking my Lap desk so I gave her one of her own to use. Then Miss Lily decided she had to read too! Then Miss Lily decided she had to read what I was reading!

Miss Lily with her lap desk books and her bottle!

Reading Mommy's book!

I thought It was the cutest thing! I guess I am starting her young in mixed media magazines! Well at lest she wants to read and loves to just look at beautiful pictures!
